Rob is the second generation of Deatsch Insurance, and has thirty-five years with the agency in sales and management.
He was a graduate of Holy Angels Elementary School, Yuba City High School and Yuba College. Upon completion of his Bachelor of Science degree from Sacramento State College, he worked for Continental Insurance Company as an underwriter for two and a half years.
He has had the pleasure of coaching basketball for his son for two years at Saint John’s Elementary School. He is also a 20-30’s member in the Yuba Sutter area, and a board member of the Rotary Club, in addition to being a current member since 2005. Mr. Deatsch has also been on the board of directors for the Bank of Feather River since 2007.
Mr. Deatsch enjoys many outdoor activities such as hunting, fishing and camping with his son. Golf has been a sport he has enjoyed since grammar school as well as tennis.
He enjoys his family time above all, taking them to baseball games, barbecuing on birthdays and holidays.
He had the pleasure of spending his agency career with his father Howard, who retired in 2016.
Mr. Deatsch is deeply committed to the long-term, close client relationships and friendships that he and his father have developed through the duration of their careers.
Cheryl came to Deatsch Insurance Agency in 2014 with twenty-five years of experience in Personal Lines. Twenty-two of those years were working primarily as a Small Mutual Insurance Company Underwriter on the Central Coast area of California, as well as being an agent for the company-owned agency.
Cheryl moved to Marysville in 2014 so that she could spend more time with family already living in the area. She enjoys the outdoors, where she can be found either rooting for her grandson at one of his sporting events, gardening, or raising her latest litter of Shorkie puppies.
Denise has been an insurance professional for twenty-four years, joining Deatsch Insurance Agency in 2003. She is experienced in all areas of commercial insurance and has developed a strong client base throughout the West Coast.
Denise has been a resident of the Yuba-Sutter area since 1988, settling in Nicolaus to raise her three children. She enjoys traveling and spending quality time with her family.
In 1971, Diana started her journey in the insurance profession with an agency in Yuba City. In 1978, she decided to join her husband as a long haul truck driver, and for the next two years enjoyed the adventures of the open road.
In 1980, she decided it was time to settle down, and went to work for Deatsch Insurance. She and her husband moved to Central Oregon for a time, where she worked for a family-owned insurance agency for the next eighteen years, until her husband fell ill. She returned to California in 1998, and began working for Deatsch Insurance once more. She has four daughters (two of whom were born in England), 11 grandchildren, and 17 great grandchildren. She hopes one day to return to Central Oregon in retirement.
Julie brings over twelve years of insurance experience to Deatsch Insurance. She started working as a licensed insurance agent in the late 1980s. Julie previously worked for Deatsch Insurance during the late 1990s, before pursuing a career in the mortgage business as a Branch Manager for Transamerica Financial Services. She then went into restaurant management before returning to Deatsch Insurance Agency in January 2017.
Julie has been a resident of the Yuba-Sutter area for 40 years. She has two children and one grandchild. She enjoys spending her time with her family and friends. Julie’s interests include baseball, music, and any type of activity involving the ocean or mountains.
Don Gronstal came to Deatsch Insurance in 1991 and has over thirty-five years of experience in Personal and Commercial Lines specializing in personal automobile, homeowners, dwelling fire, umbrella coverage, commercial liability, and worker’s compensation.
Don moved to Roseville, California in 1982 to enjoy the small town atmosphere while raising his family. He has many pets and enjoys working on his home and garden in his spare time. He is also a major fan of rock and roll and country western music, produced since the mid-1950s through recent time.
Mason is currently attending American River College and working part-time in the accounting department at the agency. He has been on staff for two years, and has taken Personal Lines training with the customer service department.
He finds the greatest pleasure in fishing, hunting, concerts, and outdoor activities. Watching the San Francisco Giants play is one of his favorite pastimes, in addition to playing computer games.
